“Ab Ovo: A Tour of Ancient Greek and Roman Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Melissa Wong received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, completed her residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center, and her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai, where she is now Assistant Professor in
Obstetrics & Gynecology. Her manuscripts have been published in peer-review journals American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Journal of Perinatology. Her research has touched on topics ranging from severe coronavirus disease’s effects during pregnancy, applications of machine learning and virtual reality in contemporary medicine, and racial disparities in health delivery and outcomes. Her historical interests extend to Greek Antiquity, which will be the topic of her talk.
