The Barbara Bates' Center for the Study of the History of Nursing will be holding it's 25th Anniversary Symposium on Wednesday, April 27.
This symposium will bring together interdisciplinary experts on historical and modern issues of ethical medical research conduct. They will raise questions for discussion surrounding th contextual issues, such as race, class, and gender, that form our understanding of ethical research behavior, and the meaning of bioethics as it is formulated and operationalized across the globe. In particular, the symposium will address the protection of marginalized populations as participants at this time and place in global research.
