On April 26, you can experience our Civil War-era building - now a National Historic Landmark - in the company of a preeminent art historian. Dr. Michael Lewis will guide a small group of participants through the lecture hall, reference library, and museum space pointing out architectural details and situating the building in its historical context. There will be an opportunity to go to the top gallery of the museum - normally closed to visitors - to see the Wagner's patented roof trusses. You will learn about the evolution of the building, the architects who designed it, and the story behind its innovative roof system. And you can enjoy wine and cheese as you listen.
