Following the award presentation Kolbert will discuss her latest work, The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History, which won a Pulitzer Prize for general nonfiction. She will share her research arguing that we are currently experiencing the most devastating extinction event since the asteroid impact that wiped out the dinosaurs. Learn how and why human beings have altered life on the planet in a way no species has before.
