The Philadelphia Area Center for History of Science has made terrific progress since starting up in 2007. We have:
- provided fellowships to more than forty students from across the country to do research in area collections and to participate in our programs;
- worked with partners from across the region to produce public and academic events including lectures, a colloquium series, conferences, film screenings, working groups and live performances;
- produced a website with a comprehensive calendar of area events, information about member institutions and their collections and an online cross-institution catalog search.
Our experience in the founding of the Center shows that we achieve great results working together.
