The Wellcome Collection recently catalogued and made available the archive of the British Society for Social Responsibility in Science (BSSRS). BSSRS was the center of an influential "radical science" movement in the UK in the 1970s among the scientific community and the general public. It was primarily concerned with the misuse of science and technological innovation and the impact on the environment, both for the health of workers and wider society. The archive contains administrative papers, bulletins, promotional material, publications by BSSRS and associated groups, and papers relating to Science for People magazine, as well as copies of its US equivalent, Science for the People.
