Experiencing Ear Trumpets in the Enlightenment

Experiencing Ear Trumpets in the Enlightenment by Dr Ruben Verwaal on Tuesday 26th October 17.30 – 18.30 GMT. will reveal how ear trumpets were developed at the turn of the 18thcentury and why this large acoustic device became increasingly commonplace among the hard of hearing.

 

This event will be British Sign Language interpreted and will feature live speech-to-text transcription which may be useful for people who are D/deaf, hard of hearing, deafened or neurodiverse.
