The New York Academy of Medicine (New York, NY)
The New York Academy of Medicine Library is excited to combine its Annual Friends of the Rare Book Room Lecture with its new tradition of Acquisitions Night to provide an exceptional experience to all. The Library is proud of its most recent acquisitions and is delighted to share and make them accessible to friends and supporters after the lecture. Dániel Margócsy, the University of Cambridge, will present a talk titled "Reading Vesalius Across the Ages: How this 16th-Century atlas of anatomy became the most coveted rare book for collectors in the 21st century." The Library hopes you will join them to celebrate the Academy Library and its mission to safeguard the heritage of medicine and public health. Light refreshments will be served.
