The “ Evolution of Cataract Surgery from Antiquity to Present Day ” is jointly hosted by two of the Academy’s Sections, Ophthalmology and History of Medicine. The event will bring together tristate area residents, physicians and other health related professionals for an engaging and informative discussion on the history of cataract surgery led by New York’s leading physicians in the field and the opportunity to explore the Academy Library’s rare historical ophthalmology collections.
