The Center for Material Culture Studies (CMCS) at the University of Delaware invites you to attend its First Biannual Conference. The theme is Imagined Forms: Modeling and Material Culture. Imagined Forms will feature keynote speakers Johanna Drucker (UCLA), Peter Galison (Harvard), and material culture scholars from across the country. Presenters will critically investigate the function and form of models, the materials and methods of simulation and representation, questions of scale and perception, experiment and presentation, and the limits of modeling from the perspectives of a wide range of disciplines, including art and architecture, art history, digital humanities, English, history, history of science, and media studies, music, and women's studies.
