Fa-ti Fan is Associate Professor in the History Department at Binghamton University specializing in History of Science, Modern East Asia, Nationalism, and Imperialism. He is particularly interested in the issues of cultural encounter, knowledge translation, representations of nature, and inter/transnational cultural relations. Projit Mukharji is Assistant Professor at History and Sociology of Science at the University of Pennsylvania where he teaches Science, Technology & Medicine in Modern South Asia; Medicine and Globalization in South Asia; Gandhian Modernity; and Nationalism & Science. C. Pierce Salguero is Assistant Professor of Asian History at the Abington College of Penn State University where he specializes in the history of Buddhist medicine. His academic research focuses on the introduction of Buddhist medical ideas to medieval China.
