Dr. Paul Ehrlich, a Stanford University biologist and expert on environmental issues, will discuss the environmental and social issues involved in climate disruption and toxification of the planet and the increasing odds of vast epidemics and nuclear resource wars. He'll introduce key elements that could lead to resolution of the human predicament including population control by fully empowering women everywhere, total revision of today's unsustainable growthmanic economic system, and a "bottom-up" movement to unite academic disciplines and civil society to help with the task.
