Michael Faraday’s 19th-century Christmas lectures brought informal science education to children and adults alike. Though Faraday’s final lecture took place in 1861, the Royal Institution has continued this popular series on an annual basis.
In the spirit of this tradition, our staff and scholars will host an evening of stories from the history of science, complete with period costumes and festive refreshments.
Local partners Art in the Age Craft Spirits will provide a selection of signature holiday punches (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic options will be served).
Come in period costume to win a special prize!
